new to the boards - need wedding help!

I am interested in booking an all inclusive 5 star(or close)resort in Playa for June 2006 and I feel like I cant make any ground!

I like the Iberostar Tucan but we want our own photographer and I havnt heard back from their coordinator on whether we can work around their rule or not. Plus we want a private reception with dancing and toasting, etc and dont know how that works there. We liked how it was a smaller resort and how the beaches were supposed to be beautiful, and most importantly how they have only 1 wedding/day.

Can anyone tell me A) what the weather will be like(and more importantly feel like) in early June - and B) if you had your reception at the Iberostar Tucan did you have a private reception and what was it like?

If you got married somewhere else could you recommend it?

Also - when should we be trying to secure rooms/book the trip if we want our wedding next June? I saw a post below that said the rooms were already booked for MAY! SCARY! HELP!

I've seen plenty of threads about wedding stuff...unfortunately I didn't make a note of them, but if you try to search "wedding" I'm sure you will find a wealth of information.

I have a FANTASTIC wedding photographer if you need one.
His name is Julio Paredes & you can email him at zoolookgie@hotmail.com. He is awesomely talented, found him through the Riu.

The only way you may be able to get out of this rule is invite the photographer as a guest. Many people who have maried at the tucan have had their own photographer (a friend).

The few who I have mailed who used the resort photographer said the pics came out good. I am going to the tucan to marry and will use their photographer.
