Lightbulb Moving to Playa Resources

Since so many of us seem to have a dream of moving to Playa someday and because we also get lots of newbies at least inquiring about moving to Playa, I thought it might be helpful to have a central place where we could share links to useful info. Hence this thread. I'll continue to add any info I have in my files as time permits. I'll also add any new info I uncover. Hopefully others will share their resources as well. The goal being to have a repository of "everything you need to know about moving to Playa but were afraid to ask (or too lazy to look up for yourself)."

To start the ball rolling, below are links to various government and legal web sites.

Embassies and Consulates:
Embassy of Mexico in the US
Mexican Consulates in the US
Australian Embassy
Austrian Embassy
British Embassy
Canadian Embassy

I just happen to be one those "newbies"!! Thanks for the sites. Excuse my ignorance, but could someone explain a "sticky" to me? I don't remember seeing that on the playainfo. Did I miss it? Again the playainfo website is great!

A "sticky" is a thread that appears at the before all other threads in a forum. It will actually say "sticky" at the beginning of the title. I had made this a "sticky"... however, King James decided that he would rather it not be a "sticky" so it was "unstuck" and is now just a regular thread.

James,

Make it a sticky. Who wants to use the search thread for pertinent info. This baby belongs at the top?? Anyone else agree??

too much info

7 weeks after we started our move and 3 weeks after we arrived, we now know a few very important things. #1 we had way to much information #2 the 2 most important things you need, a sense of humor and patience, patience, and more patience
