Mostly cloudy

My wife and I are going to PDC for the first time next week. Was surprise at the "mostly cloudy" forecasts.

Kind of assumed the weather would be sunny most of the time. What has been your experience? Do the clouds pass quickly and expose the sun?

Was hoping to just lie around and soak up the rays!

Don't let the weather forecast affect your plans. I've found that when the forecast calls for a cloudy day, that means there will in fact be clouds in the sky -- big white puffy clouds in a gorgeous blue sky. Same with forecasts for rain -- you may be able to count on some, for about 45 minutes in the afternoon. It seems like the weather services focus on the worst feature of the predicted weather in Cancun (nothing I know of on the 'net references Playa). So only rarely do you see sunny skies in the forecast for a place that has an inordinate number of sunny days.
