What makes you feel old?

Wearing a t-shirt of someone you were a fan of in your teenage years, say Rick Springfield, or Duran Duran or Milli Vanilli

and having a youngster say "Who's That?"

Having to tell them what songs your favorite singer sang (say that three times fast) and they don't know any of the songs.

Their favorite singer is Usher (like a theatre usher?)

Finding out they were born the year you graduated from High School

Yes, this happened to me, just last evening. I felt like I should be using a cane on my way out.

Seeing clothes that are 'hip' that were 'in-style' when I was growing up.

Being called sir.

Yet, in the same week, being asked for ID to buy alcohol negates all that.

Badboy and I went to a bar in Atlanta, I had left my ID in my pants that I wore on the plane. I ran into the hotel, changed clothes and headed out for the night. Anyway, at the bar, they would not let me in. I told them my age, and they still wouldn't let me in. I think my daughter(step)was older than the guy checking ID's!!! Anyway, badboy and his friend snuck me in a side door.

I don't know if this made me feel old--telling the bouncer my age--I could've been his Momk; or felt really young and underage--being snuck in the side door

Even worse when you can't remember any of the lyrics they sang. Wondering if they changed their names to Milly & Vanilly and will be teaming up with any of the new "Y" crowd. Thinking I should change my name to Jimmee while I'm still ahead.

I had knee surgery late last year because I thought I was still 16 and felt rock climbing would be SO COOL. Going to physical therapy every day MAKES me feel very old! Especially when others ask me if I had knee replacement. That just ticks me off. I feel obligated to give details of how I injured myself and to explain that it was a torn meniscus
