anyone got a wedding date?

Hello all future bride.

Stacy sorry to hear the travel company did not hold the room.

I am getting married at the Tucan next Feb- I am so excited and waiting for my wedding date. Hopefully this will be confirmed withing the next 6 weeks.

I have family coming over and nobody has booked so i dare not imagine what problems they will have.

Anyone else waiting on a wedding date?

All IB are great and the one your going to is fab.
Am sending out the wedding invites this week- cannot stop looking at wedding decorations!!!!!

yes I am waiting to hear back as well - I am starting to freak out a bit though b/c I need to know soon so we can start asking the important questions.

We are hoping for a June 2006 date though so hopefully I will have some time.

it is stressful whn people want a date and you have to rely on the travel agents to sort this out!

When we booked we told the travel agent the exact date we wanted to fly out so we could book everyone at once. We also got 2 free places that way saving ourselves over £2000.

who are you booking through?

Large bookings are great as usually you get a free place in every 20. I know a girl who booked through fc and got all 2o guests upgraded to prem seating- free insurance and travel to and from gatwick airport.

I did not want to go with fc because of a few instances me and my friends had plus their customer service is terrible again only in my/our experience. I would try them out if i go abroad again however i opted for direct holidays and they were brill, cheaper and have gone prem seating going on A330 airbus mytravel.

Have you got your date stacy.

I've had the problems that you've had with fc with My Travel. The seats in the planes are terrible. we went to Cuba a couple of years ago with them and their layout is 3 seats on each side & in the middle, so they have narrowed their seats and put an extra one in. i was stuck in the middle for the whole 9 hour flight home and the woman sitting next to me got drunk and passed out so I had to climb over her (literally) to go to the loo.

Also their reps aren't the friendliest bunch!!

We always travel with Eclipse and this is the first time we've had any bother with them.

With regards to the date, they're sending us a wedding form to complete (should get it early next week) and we have to give them 2 dates that we would like our wedding to be on. we don't find out until we get there, which is fine as we're going to go for 2 days in the second week so we can make sure that people coming for just a week are there.
But we are flying out on 16th May.

Dont tell me that! We got prem seating so I am not to bothered. With regards to reps I am waiting for another writer to get back to me as she is out there at the moment. Did you have a bad experience with a rep?
Not sure if Direct holidays reps are the same for mytravel?

Fc can give you a wedding date but as you said if they can give you one of the two dates then you can make sure people do not miss it.

With Premier seats you'll be fine.

The reps we come across seem to be more into selling excursions than anything else. We met a couple who's bags went AWOL and the rep couldn't give a monkeys. They did they're bags back about 5 days into the holiday.

Going mid feb and so looking forward to it. Have sent no wedding invitation out yet but need to do so very soon. Everyone wants a date and i keep telling them it'll be in the second week but its not goond enough.

So are you sending out invites and if so what date will you put on? I think i may send them out and provisionally put a date in. Whta do yout think?

Well I hope mytravel reps in mexico are nicer because if my wedding dress goes Awol i wont be happy dealing with a rep who doesn't give a damn!
