Iberostar shuttle between resorts

Anyone recently taken the shuttle from the Iberostar Maya into PDC? I need to know where it drops off in PDC if it does not go to the Tucan.

It used to go to the Xaman-Ha Aviary, which is several blocks south of PDC, between PDC and the Tucan. However, I have read on recent trip reports that it very recently started going further north, almost into PDC... which of course is good news for those going to town, but bad news for those wanting to visit the Tucan

None of the trip reports I've seen have been too specific about the new dropoff point, just that it's further north. I will be back from the Maya on May 28, so hopefully I can answer your question after that, if no one pipes up sooner. We are planning to visit the Tucan, and will probably walk from the dropoff point, then cab back to it.

As you LEAVE town going TOWARD the Aviary, somewhere just before the traffic circle there is a large, dusty parking lot (On the right hand side). THat is where they were dropping off in March.

I dont know which direction that is, but its at the opposite end of town from ******t.

In feb we were dropped near the avairy. about a five - ten minute walk to town. It is not bad.

Sounds like the new dropoff point is only a couple of blocks north of the Aviary, because the Aviary is only a block south of the traffic circle. suzeq, if you have the Mapchick map of Playa del Carmen, I think the parking lot Karen is describing is E1, at 10th and Municipalizada across from Plaza Antigua. If so, it's a little more than a mile north of the Tucan.

Thanks!!! Our friends have never been down before and I hesitate to tell them we'll meet them if I don't know where they'll be. Hate to have them wandering about.

Coral Reef, they're staying at the Maya also so any additional info you can give when you get back would be great. I'll look at my mapchick map and give it to them before they leave. Have a great trip!

Coral Reef, I couldnt think of the name before, but I believe it IS Plaza Antigua......
