Best bet is to zero in on either Minneapolis or St. Paul. Sure, I'd like to go to Dock Cafe, PDPappy's, or Lord Fletchers but I think the following list makes more logistic sense. Too bad Bilimbi Bay wasn't still around.. it would have been perfect!
Minneapolis Cafe Lurcat - Downtown by the Basillica Black Forrest Inn - Nicollet Avenue, closer to Lake Street ChatterBox Pub - In the neighborhood on 35th Avenue near Hiawatha Psycho Suzie's Motor Lounge - Marshall Avenue near Lowry Saint Paul WA Frost - Selby Avenue near the Cathedral Sweeneys - Dale Steet near Summit Muffaletta - Como Avenue near Hwy-280 in village by UofM St Paul Campus Moose Country - Formerly Diamond Jim's on Hwy13 near I-35e Never been to Psycho Suzie, so it's the only place I can't personally recommend. Will try to run over there this afternoon and check it out. Cafe Lurcat is classy and probably as pricey as WA Frost. Both have fantastic wine selections and at Lurcat, they use different glassware for merlot, cabernet, chardonnay, etc... kind of sexy. Parking at WA Frost is easier. For something a bit more local, Sweeneys has a nice private courtyard and easy to reach from I-94. ChatterBox is even more local with a Saturday brunch for $10 and probably the best drink prices on the list. In the event of rain, I think Axels in downtown Mendota would be a terrific backup!! Becky, have you been to Sweeney's? I think Jimmy had mentioned that they have a nice patio.
Balimbi Bay in Apple Valley or Enjoy-recommended by a friend- NorthMinnesota may know more about. I like the idea of a patio. We aren't picky as long as it has cold beer. I know we still need to decide on place, but what time of the day work's for everyone? |

If the weather is decent I think outdoors would be perfect. If I had my druthers, I would like a day time meet as I live 2 and half hours away and would need to stay in a hotel if it gets too late. I wouldn't have to stay in a hotel, but would prefer it as I am not very good at driving at night. I get tired and also can't see as well. But, I won't dictate what everyone else does, I'm a follower.

If this goes anything like decision making with my friends, no one ever speaks up and says 'Let's do this'. Everyone keeps saying it doesn't matter to me and no one makes a decision.
