sorry...got wrapped up with apartment drama....ok....what you were hearing was a form of house music, namely from the west coast, however, chicago was really the birthplace of this music. DEEP HOUSE....artists like Mark Farina, Miguel Migs, Dr. Rockit....oh god...really...this is such an extensive list that i will compile for you...itunes w/limewire...will be perfect...perhaps i will copy my house playlist from my itunes and just email you that...you'll have PLENTY to choose from....

now..one of my personal faves that i know you have heard and is rather quite beautiful to download is TRACK NAME: Cafe des Flores ARTIST: Dr. Rockit..download it...its deeep and its sexy....

Ok...this is a starter list...this all the music that changed my life 15 years ago! Early 90's...warehouse parties...underground culture! Now, Electronic Dance Music is a little more mainstream. Many many clubs now feature this music, however, HIP HOP is still the number 1 genre played.

The art of the dj has morphed over the years. As a dj, you mix (albeit other peoples music) on two turntables with a mixer. My alltime favorite DJ - who when you listen and watch and dance to - takes you on a journey....THE MAN IS AMAZING...and that is MARK FARINA from Chicago. I had traveled 100's of miles to find secret locations for parties that he was headlining...man those were the days. You'll definately get the vibe from his cd's and mixes.
