Wel, I read that tonight's episode shifts focus back to the island where Hurley, Locke, and the other tailies have been wasting away while they focused the attention on the Others for the past several episodes.

I also read that viewership was way down for the first new episode last week. Must be that 10pm time slot, combined with a lot of pissed off people who abandoned ship after learning they'd have to wait 13 weeks for a new show.

I liked it, the whole 'you can't stop what's supposed to happen' says a lot...kind of like what Locke has said in the past about how they are supposed to be there.

Wow!! What a great show last night!!! Did anyone catch yet another reference to the Wizard of Oz? It was when the guy in the red shoes gets crushed to death by the falling debris. Sort of like the Wicked Witch of the East getting crushed by the house.

Good one Scott! I didn't think of that when I was watching, but come to think of it, the shot of the feet hanging out from under the debris IS pretty evocative of that scene from the Wizard of Oz. I was a little confused by whether Des was actually having flashbacks or flashforwards to his life with Penny.

I still want to know how all these early themes will be tied in to the Others, the 4-toed statue, the pregnancy research, etc. It's hard to believe that the producers really have a plan to tie it all together.

Yeah, for me, confused from last night is an understatement. I kept saying "no way" as I watched it. Very cool, but strange. Are we to believe that he actually jumps back a forth between time on the island and back home???

What about this. Do you remember when he first ran into Jack while running inside that stadium and said "see you in another life brother". Now it seems that Desmond ALREADY knew who Jack was because he knew him from the island. This show is so cool.

Okay...so hold to your seats belts!! Bear with me!!!

Sooo....think about it. We know from the start that Flashbacks have been key to this series. What if everytime we have seen a flashback it was actually the LOSTIE going back in time! What if Desmond is the only one who has figured this out?!?!! What happens when the other Losties figure it out and have the chance to go back and right all their wrongs?!?!

Maybe Charlie can figure out how to do this and go back and change his course and save himself?!

My head is spinning!!

I have to be one of the biggest Lost fans ever...I have never given up on the series, ever. That being said....I didn't think last night's show was that great.

sigh...maybe I was just in a bad mood???? Will go back and rewatch it and see if I have a different viewpoint.

There were lots of hidden clues, however! Did you see the Hanso, Apollo Candy, Oceanic and Gannon car rental signs during the soccer games? Charlie's middle name on sign:anagram: Herions yum! The polar bear in the painting?
