Nice report, Totlpkg10!
I'm pretty sure it will be helpful to brides-to-be.

Although I didn't marry there, I talked to Mariela quite a few times since we were in the left corner room (facing building 10 from the beach) and witnessed quite a few weddings.
She is really keeping things in control in a graceful way!

About the flowers:
My wife and me got married on Crete and we brought our own silk flowers.
There are quite a few advantages about those, as you may well imagine.
Just to mention a few: the silk flowers matched the dress perfectly, no problems with the climate and they are still as beautiful as 5 years ago!

Here's an example (not our own):

We are not getting married at a resort, and can use any photographer, although my wedding coordinator will supply one for us.
We were married at 4:30 pm. I am under the impression that the best times to avoid heat and still have lots of sun is btw. 4 and 5 depending on the time of year. We finished our picture set on the beach approx. 6:30 pm

Claudia address is claudia@claudiaphoto.com
If you email her she can get back to you on the prices. I can't seem to find my list but I do remember the pkg. starting at 650.00.

I hope this helps!

georgie-
i wouldn't have wanted anyone other than claudia to take my wedding pics. i was married in playa on may 8 at las palapas. she and her husband mike (the videographer) were both wonderful. our pictures and video are amazing. we chose the largest package for both. as for flowers my bouquet was yellow, orange and red lilies and in the photos they looked amazing with the blue water as a background. as for the reception i chose to do only white, casa blanca lilies and they looked and smelled amazing. when i get the pictures posted to snapfish.com i will send the link.

wow you looked beautiful.......i was noticing the date on your pics and realized that claudia dropped our pictures and video off and our hotel for us on her way to your wedding. i remember her telling me that she was on here way to photograph a wedding at your hotel. claudia is such a sweetheart. when she arrived at our condo before our wedding we were all running around in a last minute rush. i hadn't painted my nails yet, so she painted mine for me and even my girlfriends who wasn't even in the wedding party. can't wait to see you professional pics.

Heater-

This is such a small world. Claudia should be sending my negatives this week. Have you posted your wedding shots in the multimedia room? If so let me know so I can check them out.

I just sent an email to Claudia, so hopefully we will hear from her soon! Did you get the video also? How did that turn out? Do they edit it for you?

we are going to be putting our pictures on snapfish.com, which i would recommend. it' convenient for everyone to see and print pictures and they are cheaper than at costco or sam's club, the photo quality is also great. we took the negatives to sam's club and had them transferred to a cd. i wouldn't suggest printing any of them on an inkjet printer or one of those kodak photo machines because the quality just isn't the same. the video is edited unlike any wedding video i have ever seen before. i've already seen it 5 or 6 times and am more amazed every time i see it. it truly is worth every penny.

Wedding Pictures

Congrats on getting married. I too might be getting married at the Tucan in 2006. I've been talking with Mariela & getting all sorts of information. I was wondering if you'd be able to send me a link or send me some pictures of your wedding? I'd love to see how it was decorated and ect. I'm a new to this site and I tried searching for the pictures but I couldn't view anything. Thanks!!

Kristine

I will post a review later but wanted to let you know that I have a few non-prof. photos in my picture gallery...search for totlpkg and you should find them.

I am waiting to get my negatives back from Claudia Rodriquez. She did a great job with out pics and I very pleased with her work.

Talk to you soon!
