But understand Lisa...that 5:45 is sunset. It will begin getting dark sooner, so there may not be enough available sunlight for photographs...or the amount of natural sunlight you'd like for "tropical" photos. Depending on the "lay of the land", you may get some nice sunset photos. Good luck.

It was in January.
Enough light available, yet not as bright as it would be during the middle of the day. Which is good for a fotoshoot.

Lisa -

As far as I know, the Iberostar does not have parasols. We packed ours and brought them with us.

As for the pictures, our photographer took photos of us on the beach and all over the resort before the ceremony. We did ~ 2-3 hrs of them! Then we had other pix with family afterwards, but it did get dark quickly. You can tell which ones he took outdoors with natural light, vs with the flash. I would highly recommend natural light. Depending on how many pictures you want taken, you might consider having some taken before the ceremony, or try to bump the ceremony up. Given the chance, that would be what I'd change.

The beach was very windy, but the pictures turned out great. I wore a veil, and it looked nice blowing in the wind - but I did need some assistance keeping it at bay during the ceremony & signing the marriage licence.

Good luck,
usagi

So it does.
Marissa, please do provide a new link, will you?
Lisa, you can still have an impression by having a look at the wedding pictures I shot while there.

when you say within reason, i was wondering where is the stopping point? I am bringing table decorations and flower petals for the red carpet. I cannot find for the life of me Parasols any where in the UK. We never need them always rains! I may bring decorations for the beach cermony but have not decided.
Would they decorate the table for me? I also have a funny bride and groom for the wedding cake. All this is within reason, right?

To Lisa - Just a tip. Beyond the flowers, arches and the chairs, if you want some personal touches, I'd arrange them yourself. If you decide to go with the IB* Tucan, Mariela is very helpful, within reason, but you need to be specific about your needs. If you want certain aisle runners or parasols etc....ask ahead, or bring your own. Don't assume that they'll be able to accomodate more complex decorations once you arrive.
