Playacar Palace

Just wondering how the renovations at Playacar Palace are coming along? From another board, it looks like Cozumel Palace is supposed to re-open sometime in June. Also does anyone know if Palace resorts is going to allow their guests to use the facilities at Le Blanc in Canacun?

Can't help with exact details of Playacar Palace as it seems no one knows for sure when the place will be done.

But as far as Le Blanc, this is Palace Resorts intro into the luxury market and I HIGHLY doubt this place will allow other Palace guests to use their facilities. Since it is a "luxury brand" hotel, it will cost substantially more than the other Palace Resorts, which normally charge about the same per person price (ie: ASP and Xpu Ha Palace charge almost exactly the same pp rates). I believe the only way you'll ge to see this hotel is if you book there, and pay to stay there.
I could be wrong since it's not set to open until sometime in the summer but that's what I'm a thinkin!

Thanks Shammy

Oh well, thought we might check out Le Blanc this January when we go on our trip to Aventura Spa Palace, but I guess it sounded too good to be true. We were disappointed this past January (but not surprised) that Cozumel Palace and Playacar Palace were not finished. Reminds us of the time many years ago that we booked (four months in advance) to stay at Aventura, three days before our trip the travel agent called and told us our hotel was not finished. It was either bring hammer and nails (and a tent) or stay at Moon Palace in the Nizuc section. We decided on Moon Palace and celebrated New Year's Eve at the Sunrise section before the rooms and pools were finished. Have been happy with Palace resorts since then and no, we did not buy a membership.
