All Colorado Peeps!!! Members & Lurkers :)

It's so much fun seeing how many of us on this board are from Colorado! I am beginning to think we could really have some fun and have a mini-Playa Peep Fest here in Colorado, maybe start thinking about booking en masse a few times a year (maybe a delegation for PeepFest 2006?) and attempting the group discount thing on Frontier (minimum of 10 people make a group - and we always travel with a minimum of 10!). It might be kind of fun just to socialize and share our love of Playa here in town at some central location (was it you, Dave, who suggested that?). There's SKI clubs, why not a PLAYA club?

So if you're here in the Centennial State and are interested in this (sometime maybe in July/early August?), POST!!! Suggest locations, ideas, frequency, thoughts, etc.... and PM me if you like. I'll be gone for two weeks June 14-29 (guess where I'll be ), and I'm sure someone from our great state will step up here and keep this going while I'm away.

In the meantime - let's hear from you!

I'm up for it! Late July or mid to late August might be best for us. Location?? I'm not sure where the majority of the Colorado types live - probably mostly in Denver area - but I'm not sure. I live in Littleton. Lets keep this thought alive and pursue it further when everyones trips are over this summer...

Cool! I live in Brighton and you're right - from what I gather, we're spread all over. So whenever you all post - think about how far you'd travel once or twice a year - or more as we see fit or unfit (Central Denver, Golden, South Denver, North Denver) to plan, party, all things Playa, and let us know your thoughts.

Well I think I will sound off from the Mountains I really like the idea of the "colorado thread" we gotta show up them dang Minisotans Anyway, I am on board for a Playa get together this summer as it will give me a chance to come down to the big city and do fun things like Rockies game and Elitches! The other thing that caught my attention was the group discount on Frontier, I am all over that BUT if you have ever tried to schedule adults (and I use that tem lightly) in a large group it could be hard to do "cant make it that weekend" and the like. Not trying to bring it down, I really hope it can be done i would love an opportunity to repeat this one

I had a lady from Florida go off on me for sitting down to chat with my friends "on her chair" for about 30 seconds! I kid you not! this woman went Ape shit about how it was her chair and the fact that her towel (resort towel) signified the fact that this chair was taken, now mind you that it was not occupied at the time but i just sat on it to talk for 30 freakin seconds... Anyway after she read me the riot act about how these things work I pointed out the fact that the sign above "chair stated that you are not supposed to "reserve" chairs with towels (at this point I just wanted to piss her off) and that I was not going to steal her chair, I was mearly sitting here to chat with my friends and I would gladly give her back "her" chair in a moments notice Long story shorter,,, later that day her freakin chair of chairs had been empty all day with a towel on it (again resort towel) well lets just say that I liberated a towel from cruel and unusual punishment of haveing to be left out in the sun all day and put up with a truly obnoxious person for the rest of the week! I took it and deposited it into the bin at the shack. Moral? None whatsoever it just felt good to chap her ass a bit! E

I love New York! Of course in July it will be hotter than Haddes, but after being in Playa, you'll be conditioned for it! Biggest drawback? No clean, clear water to throw yourself into. You'll just have to look for an open fire plug. We'll check the consensus (sp?) for exactly which dates to pull this off, but I'm thinking sometime around Aug 5/6....... gives everyone a chance to get home, settled, and stirred into a frenzy getting ready for school starts.....

Count me in as well. How about renting a shelter at one of our lovely State Parks somewhere?? What's that one up in Golden called?? Also, any downtown Denver brewery will get me there. End of summer sounds great

We live in Broomfield and anytime is good for us. Should we pick a date in early August and just stick with it? We can plan the place later. Sounds like a blast!

Whether it will be a daytime State Park event or evening into night at a Brewery-type Downtown is TBD....... As we get closer (like, as in, I get Playa sand out of my swimsuit), we'll start the RSVP list and put together location. Let's get as many of us as we can! I'm liking the park idea, weather permitting! - maybe someplace with some water/boats??? - but then crawling around Lodo sounds like a BIG blast!! Maybe a second event in October/Nov?

And everyone seriously think about putting together a Colorado Delegation to show BIG at PeepFest 2006: PEEP FEST 2006 If enough people want to go for a quick weekend, and we can put it together - we can start working on that "group thing" at Frontier ..... always thinking always thinking! They have a very liberal payment plan which makes going v e r y easy.

I like the lake idea. We have a jet ski. Anyone else out there with boats/skis? Any suggestions on lakes? However, we are open to the Lodo idea or any other suggestions - easy going here!

Ok, Ok, Ok, so I'll offer up my backyard/patio for the Colorado Playa Info PeepFest. It's already set up as a Tiki Bar/Palapa scene anyhow and there are plenty of good liquor stores nearby It's in Littleton, so it's probably only an hour tops drive for most of you and not much longer for you in Loveland if you drive really fast!!

Tell ya what Sir Streck........ you foot the bill for the ladies to shop, and I'll make reservations for you at one of those fine establishments you're talking about. I'm sure we'll have a great turnout for both events!
