new bus station

The main bus terminal onthe corner of Avenida Juarez and 5th Avenue is under construction. It still open, but busy and untidy. One of the bus companies, ADO, has put up a new bus terminal on Avenida 20 and Calle 12, just behind the supermarket San Francisco. It's of somewhat temporary nature but all their buses stop there, with destinations along the coast and the whole peninsula. When I asked if it was to stay I got a typical Mexican answer - "it's permanent - for now". So until further notice - you can catch a bus to Tulum or Cancun from behind the supermarket!
