Question 60's Lyrics Test

60's Lyrics Test (AKA - The Test From Hell)

Here’s a little something for all you “Senior Members” that hang about on the Forum. You whipper-snappers don’t have a chance, but us geriatrics can all take a go at identifying the titles of the songs these lyrics are from, and the artists who recorded them...the original versions, by the way, not some of the re-makes. I did very well indeed at guessing these tunes as I was researching this quiz. I don’t know if I should be proud of that or not? I suppose I’m over the hill far enough to recognize most of them, and young enough that the Alzheimers hasn’t yet wiped them out altogether...yet.

This is a BIG one, and the last I plan in the series. I decided to make this as extensive as it is, because the 60's were MY personal favourite decade for music, and what the heck...I did the work, so I’ll make the rules. I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t just head over to your favourite search engine and dig out all the answers that way and post them here right way. Let’s leave a few days to give an opportunity to the “old folks”. By that I mean those who might actually remember these tunes from their youth, and want to try their hand at filling in the blanks. (Although what is it they say? “If you can remember the sixties, you weren’t really there.”) I’ll post the answers in a few days.

As with the other long quizzes, I’ll have to post this in pieces because of the file size. Good Luck!
