Those would be good directions with the following changes:

Walk south down 10th AVE, turn right on 1st street SUR (south) which is, indeed, south of Juarez...

That guy is Bruce Ring. I met him several years ago in a Mexico City late night lay over. He is from Vancover. I eat there several times a visit...even if I come down for the weekend. I'm still looking for the fresh fish market James talked about in a prior post. I'll be in town soon, ...probably not soon enough!

Thanks Heather. So if i was walking from Fusion, I would take a right onto 5th go straight and I should be able to find Calle Sur 1?

How far of a walk would that be?

You want to go left on 5th (south) from the Fusion. Pass Calle 4, Calle 2, then Juarez, then Calle 1 Sur and go right. Head up Sur 3 blocks

So total about 6-7 blocks. Work up that appetite girl!!!

AND if later than that you want to get your flank steak on....
El Fogon on 30th between 32nd and 34th opens late and stays open all night to cater to the local folk who are getting off work (AI's, etc...)

Ruth and I took Tony out to eat there late one night after his work at the LB was done, and Cheri was taking her Mom back to the States. (We wanted to make sure he was eating right...)

By the way....their tortilla soup was incredible. (I'm a soup fan...)

Calle 1 Sur runs the same direction as Juarez. You will never see it walking down Juarez. I suggest walking south on 10th until you get to Calle1. Hang a right and then travel Calle 1 for a few blocks, and it will be on your left.

I don't think 5th ave goes through there, you have to go at least to 10th ave. What I meant to say is that south calle 1 does not connect to 5th ave.
