OMG....you're there three weeks....

you could hit just about everyone of the places on dpreefer's list plus the new listings from StewartG...

Of course I think the list incorporates both now.

Stand by for the Magical Mystery Taco Tour de Force. The list will (hopefully) be growing longer next month!

I'm trying to remember the name of a restaurant that I went to last week for incredible seafood. We drove west on Juarez from 307 to I think 125th Avenue and then turned right onto another dirt road. The restaurant was painted bright blue and was on the left about 2-3 min down the road. Very clean and neat. Seafood was Veracruz style and the name of the restaurant had the word "shark" in it. Wish I could remember it. The food was excellent. Also had the paella at La Bamba Jarocha which was very yummy.
Thanks.
Sue

El Tiburon. I did a report on it a few weeks ago, with photos... Nice place, but I didn't like the glob of mayo they plopped on everything. Great pulpo cocktail!

Are you sure Stewart? There wasn't any mayo on any of our dishes and I remember the name as being longer. There were pictures on all the walls of the different dishes and I remember it was painted bright blue. I had a stuffed shrimp dish with orange sauce that was excellent.

don't know if it's been mentioned that a new HC de Monterrey is opening up on Constituyentes on the west side of 307.

Same meat. Different owners.

I haven't heard that but it would be nice and close. What avenue is the cross street?

There is a new H&C on Ave. CTM between 10th and 15th. It has been open for 2 1/2 weeks. Just like the original, only bigger. As of last weekend no alcohol service as yet.

Ave. CTM would be the equivalent of about Calle 44 if was not a named street. Great location for folks living in the north end of town.

Hows the wait time at the original? Does it get pretty crowded or can I just wander in and order? Sounds like a great meal.

Question

How far is HC from la Tortuga when it comes to walking in minutes? Is it better to take a taxi? Also, is it really that hot in there? I'd hate to get it to go and have it arrive cold at the hotel.

Thanks!
