Yeah ....that IS good to hear it hasn't closed. Actually it always had the name Super Carnes on the sign which I think was probably more prominent than the HC sign on it!

Question re: arrechera

What kind of meat is on the arrechera platter? Is it beef or pork?

Thanks

Our favourite meal is a toss up

between El Fogon el pastor and HC Monterrey's arrachera beef. We were impressed with the service at both places.

Another 2 cents on the restaurant currently in the original location of HC Monterrey. Here's the official title on their delivery vehicle:

We ate there for lunch the other afternoon, after a stop at the bookstore nearby, and were pleased to see that the meal was just as yummy as it ever was before. Other than the name change, it does appear to be almost exactly the same. It does still close at 7pm, as the original used to, so be aware of that, if you go. Service was pretty good, and the meat and tater were fantastic. We even had some pretty good entertainment as well:

What is Cabrito?

I did a google search, and saw that it was goat. I ate roasted goat one time with a lot of beer, but don't remember what it tasted like.

I'm getting hungry!
