Being an empiricist by nature, we had the arranchera at Tango Taco the other night. it was quite good, but now we're commited to a comparison with Stewart's "Super Carne" place before leaving on Sat. The last time I tried to go there, it was closed, so I'll have to do better this time.
Marginally off topic: Do any of the vaunted steak places in Playa have a drinkable house red win by the glass? The one at Tango Taco was just awful.

Tango Taco is a great place, and there is a REALLY cheap internet cafe next door.

PLEASE try to get to super carne before you go. If you are a "foodie," my opinion is that going to playa and not getting the arracharra at HC is like going to the Vatican and not going to the Sistine Chapel.

Can't help you on the red wine thing, but you may want to PM Bumper if you have time. He's a "wineie" (not to be confused with "weenie" or "whiney!"

I have been cracking up about the digressive tendencies on this board today, too.
Clearly, I *really* have to work on getting my posts up-didn't realize until today that I needed to be more goal oriented and stop slacking.
Sooo, I am not going to flog anyone, especially StewartG for going off topic...no, my "beef" with all of you is YOU ARE RUINING MY DIET! which I have to be on to wear ridiculous bathing suit I ordered in state of euphoria over cheap airfare (thank you Playa.info poster who made it possible) for my upcoming trip (4th this year)to Playa.(My husband will probably put me in rehab as soon as I'm back on US soil- wait, is this a digression?)
Now, not only do I have to add this "Super Carne" place to my already overly long list of places to eat in four days, but every time I read threads like this I end up starving.sigh.
Soon I will start to obsess that HC de Monterrey will be closed when I go there.....Guess my friends will just have to wake up for lunch! Am packing black one piece now.
