Cackle, is for witches, not guys.
And I completely agree, giggle is not the most apropiate one for guys.

diogeron asked: "Do any of the vaunted steak places in Playa have a drinkable house red wine by the glass? "
carmencita's on the corner of calle 20th y avenida 5th. owners are from DF/Argentina....high grade steak...wine is very good......so are their pizzas, greek salads, empenadas, desserts and chocolate martinis too! also great for people watching. if you sit on the 20th street side you will get a nice evening breeze. buen provecho!

Had to think about it awhile, but this is where Jutta had some red wine she liked. She knows her vino, being from the wine country in SW Deutschland. We both really liked the food here.

Okay guys, I need a little help. I have read lots of post on HC Monterrey and read as much as I could. This will be our very first time to PDC and we really want to try out this place. So, could someone please give me some detailed info on how to find it? I have the Can-Do maps, but I don't see it anywhere on there. I do have the maps as a reference, just want to be sure we find it and don't miss out! Thanks for the help

MsLockey,
Welcome to the Forum!
The very first post on the thread should give you a good reference on its location:

If you havent tried this place, you should! Its on 1st street south, between 20th and 25th. Mostly locals, no english spoken.

Is there parking around there anywhere? I have yet to find it myself but this time I'm determined. My friend is also going with me this time and she has difficulty walking because of a tumor in her leg (plus last week she whacked her foot on the table and now has the black and blue toes taped together. So walking from 30th would be a little far.
Thanks.

I did read the first post and after looking at the map I was hoping for a little more detail. On the map I see 1st st and then there are Calles 20, 22, 24, 26 that cross over 1st St. It says this is the area called "Little Italy". So, if I were heading north on 1st St., I would pass Constituyentes and then come to Calle 20; I would then start to look for HC Monterrey along this section. Is this correct?

Well I don't think so but I haven't made it there yet either. Calles and streets are the same thing. Playa is laid out in Avenidas and Calles (avenues and streets). 1st street or calle and Avenida 20-25 would be more at the south end of town almost to Playacar. Calles jump by 2's and avenidas by 5's hence the 20th and 25th. Am I going in the right direction those who have been there? I'm thinking more over by the airport.

Hi Mary,

Actually, HC de Monterrey/Super Carne is located on Calle 1 South, which is SOUTH of Juarez, not North of Constituyentes. Juarez is the main street the runs west away from the Sea near the ferry dock to Cozumel. If you were heading south on 10th avenue (which runs parallel with 5th avenue one block west), cross Juarez, and go one block to Calle 1 Sur. Take a right, and walk west. The restaurant is between Avenidas 20 and 25 on Calle 1 Sur, just west of the bookstore called Que Pequeno es el Mundo. You can't miss the lovely smell.

Be sure to go for lunch, since they close early. Buen provecho!

Good directions Heather. We had a tough time finding it but eventually did. We stopped some of the locals a couple of times for directions and they didn't have a clue.

Perfect Now I know exactly where it is. Followed your directions on my Can-Do map. This is our very first time to Playa so I am unfamiliar with everything But those were excellent directions and I know we will not have any trouble finding it now. I think it will be the first place we go to when we go into Playa
