If we get our food "to-go", can anyone recommend a great place to take it to sit and enjoy a beautiful view or for great people watching, etc.? As I've mentioned this is our very first visit to Playa, so thanks for any good tips

not sure where you are staying, but i have eaten it on one of the patios at Luna Blue with CaroleLB, MsRubio, and Banzoomba!!! also when i have stayed at Posada Freud, i can eat my HC and people watch on 5th avenue.

We're not actually staying in Playa. We will be visiting for the day. That's why I was hoping we could pick up some great food and then find somewhere to enjoy the food and the sites

A group of local peeps ate there last Saturday night before the PeepMeet
and it was very crowded. The closing time is always a little questionable but we arrived at 6:30. We had to wait 10-15 minutes for a table and we got one inside in the very back. There was a fan but it was very hot. If possible, try to always get a table out in the front- close to the street.
Despite the wait and the heat, our food was; as always outstanding!!!

i have eaten there on a table out by the street many a times. depending upon how many in your group, a suggestion might be to get it to go and get an extra plate. take it down to Posada Freud's little bar right on 5th, order up plenty of margaritas from the bartender Jose and eat right there. i am sure that Jose would love to try some HC. since they don't serve food here i don't think it would be a problem.

A'ndrea, Thanks, that sounds like a plan I found Posada Freud on our mapchick map! It shows to be just pass Calle 8 on left side when heading north on 5th from HC. We'll look for Jose and will definitely be glad to share some of our yummy food

yep, that is exactly where Posada Freud is. i think the bar opens up around 1p.m. the only two bartenders are Jose and Carlos.

all the times i have been drinking there and that is about 40 times it has been Jose or Carlos. maybe i need to make another trip there soon!!
