The Oasis was struck by lighting at about 3:30 in the morning. The newest one third of the structure remains as does the adjacent Terrance. Removal of the debris started the next day and full reconstruction is expected in 6 months. The Oasis reopened Friday with a limited menu, but with reduced seating of around 600 (down from about 2200). 2005 has been a rough year for the place what with dead bodies in the fountain and the fire.

Dead bodies what?.... I really need to read a paper every now and then.

Well, good to know that it's still there, somewhat. Glad to know they are rebuilding too. Thanks for the info.
