TX/Austin peeps-- the Oasis

Hi all. My Mom lives in Boerne and she just told me that the Oasis on the lake burned to the ground last week!

Any new news on that? Was anyone hurt? What about the little "antique" store and houses next to it? Rebuilding? I loved that place!! The food was hit or miss but the margaritas were great and the view was spectacular!

Lightening started it....A gas explosion from the kitchen(?) accelerated it...

The Chapel partly survived. The decks are all gone...The owner has offered up his home on the Lake (accommodations to a reception of 1000) to those who had bookings for weddings/receptions at the Oasis...
