They are very comparable as they are both the lowest level (and oldest) resorts in a 5 resort complex. In June, you will be surrounded by kids though.
I think the Barcelo gets the upperhand in the snorkeling category. If you are interested in snorkeling at your hotel at all, the Barcelo would be the way to go.
Other than that I cant really think of what would put one better than the other.
