Thank goodness my cold is gone so I could get out there. I mentally needed an outdoor run today.

Good for you! But... brr! Maybe this weekend... it's supposed to warm up a little. I can try to get out there during the warmest time of the day...

Mind you, I was in my early teens so I didn't have the knowledge of exactly who he was until much later on. I just read his training guidelines and have come to realize this guy is a total maniac!!! The mile guidelines alone for those who are most likely Olympic potential blew me away.....100 miles per week for training. Seriously, that is a lot of running!!!! Anyhoo, his hill resistance training is what I remember most about my weeks at his camp. That and running my a$$ off! He has since passed away....2004, he was "The Maker of Champions- The Father of Jogging"................
For those of you who are interested, here are some links of his training methods and general info......

Hey, at least you got out there and tried! In a BLIZZARD!!!!!

Oh yeah... I am O-V-E-R it. I want warm sun during the day and a fresh breeze blowing in my window at night.
I got on the treadmill again today. Another 2.5 miles in 30 mins doing intervals. Felt more pangs of weirdness in my calf. It's sending me a clear message... take. it. slow. I did a ton of core and upper body weight training too... there will be no laughing tomorrow!!!
