Indiana is soaking wet and getting wetter all the time, thanks to Arlene. It's been rainy steadily and heavily for 24 hours now. I always watch the storms in the Caribbean because of my house there, and then it comes and smacks my house in Indiana instead!!

We had a couple rainy-ish days, but our motto was "no problemo." Mostly the weather was perfect. Even rainy-ish didn't cancel swimming and walks on the beach, at least for us.
On the evaluation from the tour company (more about that in the upcoming super-duper trip report), they asked us to rate the weather at the destination. My response: "WTF kind of question is that?" Not sure what Jessica put . . . prolly something more polite. |

Have you seen those pics of guys all covered with bees just to have some fame?
Well if mosquitos would transform in soft pelted massaging entities we all would look like that!!!! I don't mind the mosquitos trying to "earn" their living, but Why should they inyect that nasty saliva? |

Okay...I have to jump in here. How else can i reach "very sparkly" before I leave
Some Rain is good! It makes everything lush and green and beautiful. Last July while in Cuba there was a very bad drought and it felt like we were vacationing in the desert. Very crunchy grass and dusty, dusty country roads. Never mind feeling guilty as hell as locals suffered the drought and the turistas lavished in hotels. Actually in February of last year some areas were so bad tourists were moved to hotels, by bus, some ten hours away. So I say BRING ON SOME RAIN....RAIN IS OUR FRIEND |
