Mrs. B and I will watch this thread unfold, or "unravel", as the case may be, with particular attention to your arrangements. We don't generally do marathon driving days any more, so our pace is leisurely. We're planning on heading out of Winnipeg on August 10, and getting down around Council Bluffs or so that day. Next day we should get to Texas without too much strain, and maybe even to the Dallas/Fort Worth vicinity, so perhaps we can join your happy throng. Leaves a short trip to San Marcos the next day for all of us. Might there be space for a couple of Canucks to join in with the German and the Yank, and the rest of you? We're pretty much house-broken...mostly, and rarely bite, though I have been known to nibble a little.

BREAKER, BREAKER, Looks like we got us a convoy! Come on down.

We will decide on a place to meet sometime Thursday ..for Dinner and Drinks. We don't have to get up early Friday..It's only a 4 hour drive to San Marcus.
House broken, eh? I think I better look for a bigger house. Oh boy!!! A slumber party! Looks like Slim will get the Hammock!

Yeah!!!! I'm getting excited about the meet. This is on Thurs night correct? BTW, anyone going to the regatta have the COOL FLOAT cooler? I saw the larger one today at Costco for $17.00, on line they're as much as $60.00 It hastwo rings to hook it to tubes! Makes we want to find a way to get to the regatta just to have an excuse to buy one.

Insist that the Dallas peepfest be held on lower Greenville Avenue... wide selection of dining/drinking spots down there. During happy hour (4-7pm) at Gloria's (Salvadorian restaurant) they serve fantastic mojitos for $2. Great ambiance (indoors & out), great food, and reasonably priced. If you like oysters, Aw Shucks is right next door and Little Havana (more mojitos) is just across the street.

For you El Cuevo del Chango lovers, a trip to Dallas wouldn't be complete without a visit to Cafe Brazil for breakfast... they have six locations. They make their own chorizo and incorporate it into several of their signature specials that run about $7 each.

Never did find Po Melvins in Irving... what did I miss?

Jimmy
