We're in Puerto Morelos right now and love this town. Don't get me wrong, we love Playa too but Puerto is just a bit more relaxed. The beaches are beautiful. On the northern end, there's a little beach bar called Ixchel Beach Bar that's fun to hang out at and they serve great drinks. They rent chairs too. Cantina Habanero on Rojo Gomez has great margaritas and some really good food. Plus around the square there's lots of little shops and restaurants.
