This is a really good question I wish I had more answers for. Normally we get questions from those in town for only a short vacation, and we can point them to area gay bars. As for a GLBT community, I have no information. Playa is a pretty open-minded, cosmopolitan, and diverse place, so I'm sure there must be at least a small, tight-knit community. I hope someone chimes in with valid (and respectful) information for you.
