Photo Upload Question

Question about uploading photos... When I upload them, are they being dumped into some giant pool? I'm under the impression that each member has his or her own gallery, but I can't seem to figure out how to view the index of member galleries. I've got a few photos I'd like to post, and would like to be able to link to my group of photos. I've seen other users do this, but I'm not sure how to do it. I've tried search and FAQ to get an answer before I posted this, by the way!!! (But to no avail.)

Any help is appreciated!

Forwarded you a PM from Denisea on how to set up a link. Each member does have his or her own gallery. They are listed alphabetically.

Click on MultiMedia tab. (top of page)
Login again (right top of page)
After login click on "Upload Photos (right top of page) and take it from there.
Your pics will end up in your own gallery which you'll easily find through the alfabetical index in the member galleries section.

To add a question to this post, how does uploading videos work? Everything that I read suggests that you can upload videos, but everytime I've tried, they don't show up. Do I need to be standing on one leg and scratching my knee? I've tried just about everything else. Just wondering...

Stewart..go to the image gallery...click on log in in the upper right corner....once you have logged in...click "upload photos" click on the browse button to pull up the window for you to select pictures from your PC...you can load up to ten at a time....it might take awhile depending on your connection speed....once they load you will see a process screen where you can name each picture...click submit and they will appear in your gallery....log out and then click on your gallery...copy the address in the address bar and past that as a link wherever you want it!

Okay, thanks y'all... I will try this. I saw the screen where I can upload photos, but wasn't sure if the photos would end up in a great big file or would be in a separate folder... I'll try to muddle through and post if I have any more questions. Thanks again!

That would be a question for the master, James to answer. I know that there are/were file format and size restrictions... though I honestly don't know what they are anymore and don't know if he's tweaked or changed anything since... which is highly likely.

How do you upload the actual photos as opposed to links into these replies? Do you have to upload first into the multimedia gallery, or can you just browse and attach from your pc? If I attach from my pc, the file looks like it's attached, but when I preview my post it isn't there?? Don't mind me, still a little technically impaired.

place the photo in the multimedia section or on a website like photo bucket...copy the url address hit go advanced on your reply.....hit icon that looks like a pic with a mountain and sun....paste url and wa la

Hmmm...still trying. I uploaded to multimedia gallery just fine, and got the go advanced, insert image part. When I paste url, it still attaches a white file with an x in the middle rather than the actual picture? Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for your help

that might mean the pic is to large....try photobucket its free easy and it auto resizes your pics...click Here
