5th is definitely "in town" - everybody knows where it is, and there's zillions of taxis, so you'll never lack a ride.

Pringles abound in Playa, but wherever you wind up, grab a taxi to Chedraui. It's like a Super Wal-Mart. They have everything mentioned above, including trail mix. Upon arrival, we got snacks, sodas, beer, bread and PB&J. We were set for the week! Oh, and we got some really good tequila there (2 bottles in a gift box set) for $7.00US. Amazing. Take pesos, or have your ATM card ready (there's an ATM inside the entrance to the store). They took our US cash the first time we were there, and they refused it the 2nd time.

Chedraui is about 10 blocks or so west of 5th, I wouldn't walk it - taxis are cheap.

Oh, and we had some trouble with our taxi driver, cuz we didn't say it right. Here's how HE pronounced it: Shed-Raw-Wee

We kept saying: Shad-Rewee

Live & Learn!

P.S. "borrow" a knife from the restaurant at your hotel for spreading pb&j.
