Is funny and stupid. Why the White House has anything to do with a Mexican Stamp at all?
They argue is racist, but then Why the Post Office would issue a racist stamp? The only reason the character is in the stamp is to celebrate him, not to push him down. In Mexico we feel that Speedy Gonzales and many other cartoons are really racists against Mexican, like the crows wearing sombreros and drinking tequila, the "indian" sleeping under a cactus with a sarape and big hat ( I have never ever seen that in my life in any of my trips around Mexico, even the arid zones ). Here a lot of cartoonists, editorialist and so are saying a lot of bad things about the guys in the White House, and I agree. |

Oh, here we go... There's too much political correctness about things like this when real racist issues get ignored. It just makes an easy target. I guess this gets more prominence in the press because of the recent comment Fox made about 'Mexican doing the jobs in the US now that blacks used to do'. I think he was just being realistic. |

For us Meming Pinguin is almost like The Little Rascals, it involves some black guys, some white guys, but all doing some mischief and havin fun. Only thing is that Memin gets spanked by his Mom very often. |

Yes Seakony, the White House just took advantage to retaliate.
The stamp is the second in a series to celebrate Cartoons and comic stripes. A few hours ago in the evening news they said that all of the 750,000 sheets of Memin Pinguin were sold in two days. A lot of collectors are paying big money to get their hands on them. Only possitive thing of all this non-issue. |

gee, I remember Mexicans/Mex Americans getting all upset about the Taco Bell chihuahua and Slow Poke Gonzalez (Speedy's cousin) creating a racist image......... guess I should be really pissed about the image Homer Simpson creates for white men and the way King of the Hill portrays Texans..... though that is mainly true......... Cartoons about the White House Admin??? Get a grip people, that has been going on for a couple hundred years now, nothing new there at all.... thats kinda like saying Letterman and Leno NEVER joked about Clinton
