Just totally messed up my photos

After spending an inordinate amount of time reorganizing the 500+ photos I have in Photobucket, I learned that an added "benefit" is that whatever photos I had added to any of my posts within the Forum have now turned into a cute little red "x"!!!

Just spent waaaaay too much time fixing a few (mainly the Nerak Necklace thread) and will poke away at the others as I come across them.

So.... if you see those adorable little red x's where my photos used to be, that's why! (feel free to drop me a PM to bring them to my attention so I can continue repairs.....)

Sorry to hear that Nerakaren. Sometimes it just doesn't pay to get organized.

I'll keep my eye open for the dreaded red x's.

Karen,
When you move a photo it changes it's address (URL). The links you had no longer exist, that is why you get the dreaded X

Day late, dollar short, Crit!!! Now that I understand what I did, the dastardly deed was done. And get this: Everytime I moved a pic to a new album, I got a red bold print warning saying that it would destroy any link currently on that pic. Did it sink into my thick skull?? Apparently not! Geeesh... how I HATE learning the hard way!!

Thanks, JT...... There I was.... reorganizing 500 pics in Photobucket, all the while being kinda tickled that I'd finally figured out how to get all those pics in some semblance of order. Then I came into the forum, and ***whammo*** . DUH!!!

Ahhhh, yes, oh wise one....... but it hurts!! It hurts!!!

I guess I could blame it all on Denisea. She's the horrible person who encouraged me to learn how to use my digital camera which led to Photobucket which led to this. It's all HER fault, dammit!!!

Still have to load into member gallery first. What's up with that?

Photobucket is easy (now that I've lived through the growing pains). I'll show ya in August, Kony.

You should be able to copy them directly from Photobucket into a post, Karen. Ya know how they show the boxes marked "url", "tag", and "image" underneath each pic? Just left click on "image" box which will highlight it, then right click to get the dropdown, and then left click on "copy". Then go to the text for your post, right click to get the dropdown, and the left click on "paste". Then click on Preview Post and check it out. It should be there.

The main reason I got Photobucket was so that I wouldn't have to put every pic for a post into my gallery.

Let me know if this works for you, Karen. If not, we'll email to and fro and figure it out.

We use photobucket all the time now too...bummed about the mess it created for you Karen

It is just so much easier to put pics in photobucket rather than having to download to the media gallery all the time.

Yeah, what the hell was I ever thinking... imagine encouraging someone to move outside their comfort zone... shame on me for wanting people to grow and learn... the world would be such a better place if we all just remained blissfully ignorant.

My blissful ignorance was actually pretty pleasant, thank you very much. But it was just that digital camera sitting in the box for 22 months taunting me, "Learn to use me, you coward!!!" that drove me to seeking out your assistance, oh Great One!
