yes, it is about a ten minute walk in from the highway, not bad a walk at all.
Just tell the colectivo driver 'playa publico' and he will let you off at the right entrance...big white concrete sign (that says ?? I forget, a name of the hotel that is right there at the main beach), paving stone walkway lined with plants on the left (north) side.
