If I remember correctly the place to get off the collectivo is Akumal North. We actually met Alihandro when we asked him directions to the Akumal Dive Shop. His palm tree office is right near by. I'm sure if you asked the Akumal dive shop they would hook you up with him. His tour was awesome and the best 10$ I spent in riviera maya. There is no boat involved as he takes you directly from shore. We saw sea turtles, schools of fish, barracuda and a protected coral reef with an amazing variety of sea life. It made Xel-ha look like a joke.
