Was just wondering if any of the "crew" here are on myspace?
If so we could link to each other.......

I don't know myspace. Is it very different from MSN Messenger?

Jesus.....waaaah.....that almost brought tears to my eyes. Although it was supposed to be- or better: is- a joke. And it did make me laugh. At the same time it brought the tears cause it sounded like "space" in Playa is waiting for me. And after four years there is nothing I want more then to return. *sob*

myspace is not like msn at all. It is a site where you can put up a profile and write blogs. You can add people to your friends list- and they can leave comments for you. You can send other folks messages.....all kinds of stuff. There are also groups there and a forum. It is a lot of fun on there. Most of the folks are American- but there are quite a number of Mexicans and Europeans on there too.
Just go to myspace.com and have a look.

Is not exactly a joke, is that I wasn't trained to automatically say: Mi casa es tu casa.

Hey Joana... I actually do have a slot on MySpace... but I've never set up a blog myself... I joined so that I could post on my friend's blogs... she's WAY funnier and more clever than I am....but I am on there!

We just got a letter from our school today about this web site...

Dont know if it is true.... but they are telling parents to check to see if their kids are on this site...seems it is a favorite "hang out" of child predators.

They got this information from a very reliable source. Apparently some kids at my daughters school (6th -12th grade) are on there....posing as older kids

and they wanted to warn the parents. They are also warning college age girls to be very careful about who they meet on this site and sighted several recent cases in the news where girls have gotten in trouble by hooking up with some one they met on this site....

I think every site has the potential for the bad element.
Yahoo groups. MSN groups. Myspace. Dating sites. All of them.

Actually, Myspace has been a great outlet for musicians and artists to set up websites to share their music and show their work.

But with any good thing....

Seems like a nice enough site when I checked it out...of course I went there to see if my daughter had a profile (she didnt) or blog. We monitor her internet pretty close, but you never know.

But from what the letter said - 122 profiles on this site are known child molesters with records...and several hundred more (yes you heard it right..several hundred ) are under close watch !!!! I dont know how they figure this out...but they apparently have people who go on these sites and try to catch the bad guys...the reason our school system sent out a notice was because alot of the kids in middle school and high school are on this site and they wanted parents to be aware of it.
