Yes, I spoke with Puppy yesterday Susie and he's in! I changed my room at the Riviera Caribe Maya from a standard plus to a King Suite just to accommodate both of us. Not sure what hubby thinks about me shackin up with a 26 year old but...who cares?

My other friend Jaime might still be coming too...she's waiting for that non stop air from Tampa on Spirit to come out first.

Puppy will LOVE the Fat Cat, that kind of thing is right up his alley. And you GOTTA go that day, you simply must. He even asked how you were when I spoke with him...he said "How's my other Mommy"?

You can't disappoint the poor boy now, can you?

With Puppy there, I'm sure he and I can protect you from any more serious injuries!

And yes Miss Karen, I shall sign up on the Playa Info site. I am waiting for Puppy to actually purchase his airfare and the minute he does, I'll sign us both up and apply the proper deposit.

I'm waiting for any sort of decent airfare to make aan appearance. Right now they seem to be completely over the top for that time period. Have the hotel reservations, but still not sure how we are going to get there.

What is considered decent airfare from where you are?

Are you near Buffalo? If so, does a non stop flight for $562/pp sound at all decent?

I don't know where you're coming from or what kind of prices you've seen so far so I don't know if it's good or not.

We usually fly out of Albany or even Hartford is workable. I am not finding anything under $750 or so.

How about $427/pp non stop from Hartford?

Bad part though...the flight doesn't leave until 4 PM and it's for a 2/26 departure, not 2/25.

I'd take it...still better than $750!

Karen...what about a 1 stopper down and a non stop back? One stop still gets you to CUN by about 11 AM. Price is $425/pp and...you have to push your dates up by one day - leave on 2/26 and come home on 3/8.

Does that interest you at all?

That last price I found was for Nerak/Karen. She's staying longer than you, and I didn't realize you both had the same name!

The one I found for YOU was 2/26 - 3/5 for $427!

Thanks, Shams. Today's price is at around $567 pp. So for about $150 more pp, I'd still choose our original dates (really hard for David to change his vacation once it's been approved - loads of red tape) and I have a "thing" about nonstops. Just not worth saving a few bucks to have to endure that. I'm gonna hang in a while longer and maybe see what the charters show come September. (do charters ever do anything except 7-day flights??)
