Somebody help!!!

Dunno who's got the skill to do this, but they've totally hijacked our "Equal Time" thread. Now ALL the fotos have gone X-rated on us! Can somebody change this? I deleted the one from my thread (which was NOT the one I had posted!) but the replies still have the replacement pic in them!

Whoever it is will more than likey do it again...If you see movement on a thread where stuff like that is being posted go to View Who Is online and see who is on the thread...

Ya know, it's possible that originated with the site the pictures were posted from. Because only those photos from that site were affected. Maybe they deliberately switched out the picture that the link referred to. Guess that'll teach us to link to them!

Either that or someone was relpying to the thread removing the origianl pic and replacing it with that one...

Suzie, I think someone changed the link to the pics which is the reason for that little cross to show up. Never forget that pics on the internet still are copyrighted and so it is usually not allowed to use them (at least not without asking). I have a lot of pics on my website too and I can see in the logfiles if somebody links on them. I usually have a look what they are used for and then either put a copyright-mark on the pic, delete them/change the link or if I am in a naughty mood I put another pic there (with the same name) with a naughty comment on it...

More often than not it's a result of hot linking. People don't like you hot linking because you are not only stealing their image, you are also stealing their bandwidth and bandwidth costs money. Bandwidth is basically the amount of traffic or number of hits that a site generates. When bandwidth is exceeded then a site is shut down until the beginning of the next billing cycle or until more bandwidth is purchased. So when you hot link to an image you are effectively stealing. I've had to remove images on numerous occasions because a member has innocently hot linked to an image and then the image was replaced with either a nasty photo or phrase. So it's best not to hot link at all.
