cover at the Parrot

The cover charge, and the ropes around the chairs, is very annoing to me as it blocks off the closest beach access from our place in Villas Sacbe. The pathway between the bar and the main building always seemed like an extension of Calle 12 to the ocean, public access.

As to the bigger crowds at the Parrot, they're there because Tutix closed.

Do they still have "Una per Dos"(Two for one) happy hour periods at the Parrot, or anywhere in Playa?

Wait! No more fire dancers at the ******? They are at El Pirata now? What time?

I need clarification on when the fire dancers can be seen, as we are sending my inlaws to Playa in a couple of weeks, and told them this was one of the highlights!!!

Any help/info/clarification is greatly appreciated!!!

Yeah, I would also appreciate details as well. I'm sending my inlaws there in a couple of weeks and would like to make sure they see it!!!

Also, I thought El Pirata was at 4th st at the beach? Isn't ****** up at 12th?

Any and all clarification and details would be MUCH appreciated!!! As you can tell from my Avatar, the fire dancers are one of my FAVORITE parts of the PDC experience!!!

El Pirata is on the beach in front of the Costa del Mar Hotel which is located right next door to the ****** (south/ferry side of ******). Costa del Mar Hotel entrance is located on 1st Av (though you can also access via the beach) between Calle 10 y 12 directly across the street from Tropical Casablanca Hotel. We used to go to El Pirata in the evening to watch the firedancers at the ******... it's that close. Someone else will need to verify the time that the firedancers perform at El Pirata as this is something new since our trip in August.

Stewart, just have them go to El Pirata during the day and ask. Like Denise said it is directly next door. When they put the fence up in the evening you can be sitting at the El Pirata and touch it.

****** Xmas Eve

We're checking in to the BP on Dec. 22 (after a relaxing few days in Tuilum, we're ready 4 the party scene). Anyone know what's scheduled Dec. 22-25? The website address I have is pretty generic, no specifics. Where can I look instead of making the long distance call?

Thanks in advance for your help!

GM

I was at the ****** on Friday and Saturday and I can assure you that everything is the same as it has been. The fire show went on at about 11:30 both nigbhts on the new (bigger!) dance floor at the ******. There were probably 1000 people at the ****** and less than 50 people at the Pirata on both nights.

It sounds like somebody from the Pirata is trying to do a bit of covert promotion here in the forums.

I don't think so.
The fire dancers were at El Pirata.
