We should encourage Steve to set up a "Report" thread - where maybe no one can post to it but him, or other locals with reports? Keep it clean of this "I can't reach so-and-so" stuff..... Just dedicated reports.

so aint there a way to see pics im definitely worried about my friends in that area...but we aint gettin any info and i couldnt listen to jims reports on hurricanecity...my comp kept crashin each time i went there...

Maybe another thread for messages from locals to loved ones? I'm thinking ahead to when power comes back up down there. That way people looking for loved ones don't have to sift through tons of "chatter" as James so politely called it.

With the torrential rain in may be interrupting the signals from the cell towers, so that maybe why it doesn't go through.
Has anyone tried calling anumber that is not a cell?
