Xpu-Ha Palace Resort

Hi...we have a trip planned for 10 nights at the Xpu-Ha Palace Resort in Playa de Carmen. Does anyone know the condition of the resort...electricity, beach, etc?? We are supposed to leave on Sat. 7/23 and are concerned. Thanks for your reply.

Your travel agent will be able to get an update on the status of the resort...eventually. The reports are very slow coming in but he/she wWILL know before 7/23.

Just got back yesterday, we stayed at the Cancun Palace. Xpu-Ha and Aventura Spa got trashed, closed until October.

Did you have the option to stay at Moon Palace or a resort other than Palace Resorts? Last ?, who did you book your res with, FunJet Vacations etc? I am coming 7/26-8/2 for my honeymoon. We were also suppost to stay at Xpu Ha Palace. Thanks in advance for the info!

We were supposed to stay at the Xpu-Ha Palace on 8/13 we called out travel agent and got booked at the beach Palace instead, call fast they are booking up quick because this morning the sun palace was open and when I rechanged my mind for the 3rd time it was gone

I believe our TA was able to move us from the XPU-HA to the Cozumel Palace. We will have a confirmation in the am. We leave on 7/23-7/30 By doing this we lost our hotel transfers. What would you recommend transportation wise to get us from the airport to PDC to catch the ferry and the amount of time we should allow. Also, are there any steps we need to take on the return (timewise). Thanks - all your information is amazing!

My wife's co-worker purchased the time. We got the vacation thru him. But yes we could've stayed at any of the palace resorts. None other than Palace Resorts.

We stayed at the Moon Palace last year, very nice except the beach. (Lots of seaweed) Cancun Palace's beach is excellent (white sand beach.)

As far as the Xpu Ha, it got hit hard by Emily. Last word I heard is that it was closed until October.

People who were at the Xpu Ha & Aventura were evacuated to the Cancun Palace during Emily. They didn't even get a chance to bring their luggage. They were told to bring passports, pillows & blankets and leave everything else behind. I felt sorry for them because they weren't allowed to return to grab their bags. Many of them returned to the US with just pillows, blankets, and a promise they would get their effects later.
