ANNOUNCEMENT! August 1st Post Hurricane Peep Party!

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think this is JUST what the board and the peeps need - we've had enough posts about the hurricane - its time for a PARTY POST!!!!

Time and Place: Monday, August 1st, 8:00 p.m. at La Ranita bar, Calle 10 between 5th and 10th Ave! It is time for us peeps to get back to the *SERIOUS BUSINESS* of having fun in our favorite slice of paradise!

Let's have a "roll call!" Who wants to join me and drink to the bravery of the locals and the success of Playa in surviving the storm? Here is my standing offer: I will buy first round for ANY PLAYA PEEP REGULAR who was in Playa the night of the storm!

Come one, come all, I can't wait to get back to Playa, and I'm looking forward to visiting with you all!

You may want to re-phrase that to say peeps from Playa info. If not I can get the word around to a few locals with many thirsty friends

And for their IMMEASUREABLE contributions to the peep community - James, Anna, Heather and Steve - your money will be NO GOOD that night if you stop by!

P.S. for the peeps - remember - If I get enough drinks in me, the nekked table dancing is ENTIRELY possible!

I'm sorry, I accidentally told you it was on the 31st. Stewart must have changed things on us a little bit...guess it *will* be on the 1st, after all. We would be there, anyway. That will just give Stewart and his wife a little more time to get there and not be stressed out from their plane ride (they arrive in the late afternoon on the 31st).

If i could make a suggestion. Whoever gets there first, try to inform the bartenders that you are have a Playa.info peeps gathering. Then as the rest of us come staggering in, we can ask the bartenders and maybe find you all easier. I will probably make a sign to carry in with me. I figure if I am going to look stupid while standing there with a blank look on my face, I may as well look REALLY stupid.

Hello all, new to this site. And a great site it is. I came acros this site as a member from a storm watching site. Hope all is well regarding any interests you may have in the Cancun area. I am looking to take a trip there and would like to know about the best places to stay, best times of the year etc etc. The works! You may respond to me via AOL acct or here, either is fine. That's a great idea! I will do that If I'm early! One thing to keep in mind though... I've already ordered my official playa peep Nerak beads, and will be "flying the colors" so to speak! Depending on when you are leaving, there may be time to order some for y'alls group!

Thor: I hope the date is not a problem for you! My wife and I could not do it on the 31st as we are arriving late and plan to take the bus, etc. - probably would not arrive until late Saturday evening. I hope you can make it!!!

It shouldn't be a problem. We are going on the special Ek Balam Playa.Info tour on tuesdag the 2th though. So we shouldn't be to late.

Indianapolis to Cozumel to ferry to Xaman-Ha, on Aug. 1st..
We live about 1-1/2 hrs. north of Indy.
