Hotel La Tortuga update...
Hi here is a update from Hotel La Tortuga...published on there site...
We would like to inform tourists wishing to visit Riviera Maya that the present situation is calm and under control. We have been hit Sunday night by hurricane Emily, but Playa del Carmen has been affected mostly by strong winds and rain. The eye of the hurricane hit south towards Akumal and Puerto Aventuras. No serious damage was done to buildings, roads, people. The firemen have been working non stop and the situation for tourists is safe. Cancun airport has been functioning since Monday morning, and the main highway to Playa was not affected by the hurricane. The Hotel is perfectly functioning at the present moment and we excpect to be fully functioning by tomorrow, Wednesday July 20th. All the staff is working, the restaurant is open, the maintainance workers are cleaning the local areas, and the rooms did not suffer any damage. We have electricity, water and internet service, the phones are working and any request by the guest is most welcome and taken care of . We were one of the few Hotels that decided to take full care of its guests, and we had very positive response by everyone. Our main goal was the guests safetly and well being, and we think we have achieved it. We put all our energies in this, and now we are putting all our energies in making the Hotel perfect for future guests. Hotel la Tortuga decided to stay open and take care of its guests, explaining them the exact and updated situation of the evolution of the hurricane. Their rooms were safely closed by wooden panels, and they were given food and beverages, and 24 hours guard. Hugs...Shiantry |

mijn naam is Henk en ik ga over 10 dagen naar PDC,zit jij op dit moment in PDC?weet jij misschien hoe de situatie is bij El Tukan Condotel?want daar ga ik heen en hoe het met het strand en de zee is?en de omgeving? 5 Ave?en wordt het weer alweer wat mooier?ik heb El Tukan een e-mail gestuurd voor wat info maar heb nog niks terug gekregen.ik lees er hier ook niks over.als je wat info voor me hebt ben ik je erg dankbaar,want wij zitten een beetje te stressen!...
