I don't think we have a preference with where we stay because we don't know any difference. It is nice to have your comments and someone who has stayed recently.
Off resort, did you feel you are close enough to walking distance from different shops, restaurants, activities or do you need a cab for that? I know you stated you took cabs a couple of times.
I know it Mexico and people come from all over but how busy was VWM? did it seem crowded at times or were there few people around? This doesn't bother me but just want to get a feeler.
