Help

I've been doing alot of reading on both but still can't make a decision. The price is only a $50 difference so that doesn't help much.

Here is what I've found out so far and feel free to post your opinions and suggestions.

Both have great beaches but Barcelo's is bigger, about twice as big. Both have nice pools, but Fiesta has more and bigger. Barcelo has hammocks at the pool...nice!

While Barcelo has more rooms: 1020 vs. 836, it seems that Fiesta is bigger.. more restaurants, more pools, more bars.

Fiesta is newer, but I'm not sure if that is good or bad.

I've read that there is good snorkeling at Barcelo and okay snorkeling at Fiesta. This could be the deciding factor if it is true.

Both seem to have plenty of chairs at the beach and pool and shade.

The Fiesta has more a la carte restarants, but we mainly eat at the buffets anyway.

Fiesta has carts to help you get around, Barcelo does not.

I believe that Fiesta is only 5 km south of Barcelo.

I actually was totally set on Barcelo, but then I was reading good things about Fiesta, and Fiesta is actually cheaper.

To put things in perspective, we have been to Riu Playacar and El Dorado R&S previously as well as other AIs in Aruba and Punta Cana.

Here are the things that are important to us. Great beach with lots of room for walking. Lots of chairs at pool and beach. Good swimming beach. Snorkeling off the beach (to keep my husband busy). Nice pool with swim up bar. Price. Location.
