Jeff told me he'd never go camping. Rented a motor home a couple years ago with a bunch of friends. While sitting around a campfire (having about the 5th glass of wine) he asked "is this camping"....honey, this is the way I CAMP!!!
He's been a willing a participant ever since

If you decide on an Oregon State campground, let me know so I can make online reservations. I already have next summers camping reservations made in WA State. So much for spontaniety, huh? It's gotten so if you don't make reservations, you are left to camp in a Wal-Mart parking lot.

Back in the 80's BonnyW and I found a place about 10 miles south of Three Sisters. Down a forest service road, huge sites, didn't even see your neighbors. We were the only California license plates. People kept asking us how we found the campground, us being idiots from California.

Since the 80s? It's probably full of huge motorhomes by now with triple slideouts and an espresso bar!
A lot of the Oregon coastal campgrounds have yurts for rent which are pretty cool for those folks who don't 'camp'.

Ain't no motorhomes making it there, or into those sites. That was the same trip us scum Californians went up to Washington. Same trip I got a speeding ticket, got caught by an airplane doing 90 mph.

I'm a little slow on the visual aids...I just figured out your avatar is you and a big ol' Salmon! For some reason it kept looking like Moses holding the 10 Commandments! Got to stop smoking those veggies of Roni's!!!
