Catamaran/Boat trips near IB Tucan?

Does anyone know of any great catamaran or boat trips to take close to playacar? Thanks!

Fat Cat cruise is the only one I am aware of, but if transportation is an issue, I am pretty sure transportation from and back to your resort is included in the price.

One of the Fat Cat's transportation pickup spots is a 5-10 minute (no more than that, even with kids) walk from the Tucan/Quetzal.

Click here for info on the Fat Cat. Book through Playa.Info and get a free T-shirt!!

Thanks for the FatCat info. Sounds like a great trip! Does it book up quickly? Should we book online or wait till we get down to see what the weather will be like? I guess we could always cancel the day before if the weather looks yucky for the next day. Do they honor the refund?

I believe there is a full refund of your deposit if you cancel 24 hours prior.

I was wondering the same sort of thing about how fast the Fat Cat fills up. I already knew I could cancel, but my situation is a bit different. My GF isn't one for boats except for the small sailboats and cats at the resort and then only for a short time. She also doesn't swim or snorkle. That leaves me going alone. This year, we have another family going and my GFs two boys. Maybe someone else would want to go along. If not, I might still try to do it. Keeping the schedule as open as possible. Maybe I can talk to Jez Monday night at the Peep Meet.

Don't wait til you're there to book it, Kev. Pick a day and book it now (and get a free t-shirt for each adult booked). Fat Cat's max is only 35 people, and it does book up fast. (And I seriously doubt that Jez carries an up-to-the-minute booking schedule on him all the time.)

It's such a good time. You'll be bumming big time if you miss out on it!!

Hi We did a playa info tour in April. we loved it. We will be coming back in April 2006. I think we will only do 1 tour in april. We also saw the fat cat catamaran on this site. We will have at least 7 people with us and wonder what would be best to do a tour or a catamaran ride?
Thanks for the info.
Maryann
