ah! I see.

I was thinking maybe you were like my grandpa. He used to drive my Granny crazy and go around at night unplugging every appliance not in use in the whole house, 'in case of thunderstorms'.

I don't belive our toaster has been unplugged more than once in the 7 years we have been in our house. That was when we got new countertops.
