Okay, okay, okay...it’s time to let the duck out of the bag. The venue for Winni”Pig” Peep Meet - Mark IX, will be the Sun Fortune Restaurant, 15 - 2077 Pembina Hwy, in Winnipeg. (In the strip mall just South of the Bishop Grandin underpass)

If that name sounds familiar, that’s because this will be our group’s third visit to this marvelous Chinese eatery. The previous two trips were such a hit with The Manitoba Mexican Mafia, that we felt an encore was appropriate. (A half hour after you dine there, you want to go back again.) It’s really comfy rut.

While the Peking Duck gets the majority of the press - and it should - there will be a wide variety of other delicacies presented for your approval and enjoyment. That’s where we have an ace in the whole. Eva & Victor Wong (The Suncos), are imports, and our own personal menu consultants. It doesn’t hurt when you speak the language fluently, know the owners, and have great taste. On our previous visits, we were treated to several dishes that don’t even appear on the menu. There will be things you recognize and are comfortable with. If you have a particular favourite dish, it will likely be on their extensive menu, and we can add it to the bill of fare. And there will probably be some offerings that will be a whole new dining experience for you. Bring along your spirit of culinary adventure. Oh yeah, they always have that delightful Tsingtao Chinese beer available (We made quite a sizeable hole in their inventory the last couple of outings.), plus all the more standard libations.
