Did coming back from a 17 point deficit and beating the Packers in an emotional win last week breath new life into the Vikings? We'll find out Sunday when the Vikings take on the Panthers.

I'm outta here for the weekend, will be back Monday to talk about the Vikes big Victory on the road. I hope!

Ouch!!

As I have said before, I did not see this horrible season coming. On top of that I did not think Dallas would win more than 6 games. I admit, I was way off this year.

Yes I think everyone was as far as Dallas....We should be 7-1 but 5-3 is good enough for this time of year....I still think we will be 10-6 maybe 11-5 If we can finish the game in the last two minutes.....Good Luck with MN....

Coach Mike Tice, Quarterback Culpepper, nuff said. Hopefully new ownership will change the dynamic of the team. Maybe the worst vikings team ever.

I will give you Mike Tice, but Culpepper? You can't lay this season at his feet! He has been sacked 31 times and we aren't even half way through the season yet! Just look at any quarterback that has been smacked around like Daunte has and who's team can't run, you won't find positive stats. I would still take him over 90% of the quarterbacks in the NFL. Just look at last years stats.

With this years horrible quarterback rateing of 72, his carear rating is still 91.5! That is not a bad quarterback.

Daunte Good or Bad?

Let's compare some stats from some "good" quarterbacks in the NFL.

Peyton Manning - Rate : 92.6
Tom Bradey - Rate : 88.1
Brett Farve - Rate : 87.3

These are career stats - Compare to D.C. at 91.5

Then take into account 2476 yds rushing and 29 rushing TDs.

Daunte Good or Bad? II

Here are some more facts to chew on. (for those who want to blame the Vikings problems on Daunte Culpepper)

Professional Information:

Joins Tommy Kramer and Warren Moon as the only Vikings QBs with multiple 3,000-yard passing seasons...Set Vikings record by hitting 60% of his passes in 14 games (minimum 20 attempts in 2004...Has accounted for 157 career TDs (129 passing, 28 rushing)...

how about some more.........

Think about it............ five seasons as stater (before the start of the 05 season) and 3 pro bowls.

Oh ya I can see how some people think he is a bad quarterback.

Minnesota fans are doing what they typically do. Jump off the band wagon and start demanding a new player (in this case Culpepper).

No need to get testy. I have been a Vikings fan since the early 60's. Leadership is more important than stats. Winning important games a la Joe Montana. leadership on the field. The ability to make snap decisions and improvise. the intangibles are more important than raw ability. I have never seen a worse quarterback at reading defenses and not being able to feel pressure from behind. IMHO he is not a first rate quarterback and will never lead a team to a super bowl. The Vikings are in disarray on and off of the field. No team character or heart. Tice can't coach. Second most penalized team in pro football, doesn't know the basics of clock utilization, etc. The only stat that counts is the win-loss record and your record in important, pivotal games and in this regard he is a loser.

We are just under 4 hours until the next NFC North Champs kickoff the new season. Let's here all the predictions for the Vikes this year. I say NFC North Champs, then a very good chance of NFC Champs.

Tonights game won't show us much because Tice has already stated that the starters will only see about 12-15 plays. But at least the FB season has started!
